Painting remains the foundation of my practice. While rooted in traditional methods, my work often experiments with dimensionality. Introducing texture, sculptural elements, and warped surfaces that expand the possibilities of the painted form.
Much of my work centers on femininity, resilience, and the layered narratives of womanhood. I am particularly drawn to portraiture as a way of telling stories, creating images of women that hold both personal resonance and a broader cultural weight. Through portraiture, I aim to explore how identity and experience can be expressed through paint, material, and form.
My recent series, Oodles of Poodles, reflects this approach: playful yet incisive. It combines humor, kitsch, and symbolism with experimentation. Each work becomes both a reflection of my own experiences and a broader inquiry into how femininity is represented, reimagined, and felt.
